Need a thrifty decorating resource? Ask MOM!

Nothing could get more FREE than a hand-me-down.  If your parents are big on keeping things in the family and you need a few pieces for your home, it is a win/win.  Maybe your mom picked up something along the way and never had a spot in her house to use it.  Next time you see your parents, ask them if they have anything in their basement, closets, or attic that you could use.  Or, is there a special piece you've always admired that they might be willing to part with.  When you were young, you probably turned your nose up at Grandpa's lamp, but now you recognize the vintage style of it.  Look what my mom had hiding in a closet...a vintage drying rack.  So cute. I hung it on the wall in my laundry room and displayed cute tea towels from it - which I change with the seasons.  I aimed a spot light at it and there you have it!
